James Todd Smith, better known as L.L. Cool J, never ceases to amaze fans. The ‘head sprung’ rapper, has managed to stay relevant for the duration of his career. His albums range from 1985 to 2023.  Not only has Mr. Smith played his part as a musician he has also starred as an actor in  several movies. In ‘Deep Blue Sea’ his character played a preacher amongst scientists looking for a cure for Alzheimer’s. ‘Deliver Us from Eva’ was another movie that L.L. acted in. He acted the part of a ladies man hired to distract a woman in Peril. He also played the part of Sam Hanna in NCIS: Los Angeles. Last but not least Mr. Smith went on to host the television show, ‘Lip Sync Battle’.

In 2021, L.L. was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In 2022, L.L. was the recipient of the Entertainment Icon Honor Award at the Annual Urban One Honors
