My Heart

Music is one realm of life that helps people connect with their feelings. Sometimes a melody or beat can help bring to life the words and emotions that an artist experienced or is experiencing. The artist can then pour  this emotion into a song or an album.  A listener has the pleasure of being able to get lost in a song and delve into an artist’s feelings and relate them to his or her own. It is obvious that music is a natural healer.  For artist Jaebo Lawz, music is an indispensable aspect of life.

Who is Jaebo Lawz?

Jaebo Lawz  is an independent rap artist with Global Dynasty Records, a label he created in 2016. He is from Buffalo, New York.   Jaebo was born on May 16 and is of Black, Puerto Rican, and Italian Descent. As a young boy music played an integral part in his life. “I feel like I am music and music is me. When I was 15, I ran away from foster care. My brother used to start making beats when we were on the block on the Westside…and that’s when I learned how to freestyle”-Jaebo.

Jaebo went on to begin recording in a studio his brother built named ‘Top Floor’. It was here that Jaebo found a true love for what would become his musical craft. Many of Jaebo’s songs stem from real-life conversations and experiences. When he hears a beat he gets a feeling and everything just blends at that point. “My inspiration comes from everywhere. It’s pretty amazing, the feeling I get”-Jaebo.

Jaebo is a true performer. He loves to see people connect with his music. He enjoys the great feedback that he gets from his music. Jaebo explains, “it makes me feel good to make other people feel good, to be honest. It’s a blessing!”

Jaebo explained that more than one genre has influenced him “and become a part of me, which is why I think  my music comes out so versatile.”  Some of Jaebo’s musical influences include, but are not limited to, Lil Wayne, Nelly, Manny Fresh, Jay-Z,  Jada Kiss, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Michael Jackson, the Temptations, and Classic Rock.
