I’m Kenny “Dj Fangerz” Niang and I was born and raised in Harlem, New York. I have been
djing for over 15 years. The djs that have truly inspired me to begin playing music were DJ S&S
and Brooklyn’s own DJ Lance who passed away last year.
Playing and listening to music is a big part of my life. My favorite genres are Hip-Hop, R&B and
Reggae. I can recall when I started djing at parties using a Five Disc CD player. Once I mastered
my craft, I began by cutting and mixing using the CDJ 1000 turntables.
From then on, I was able to MC better by playing music at functions and events such as: bars,
birthday parties, house parties, baby showers and weddings. One of my main future goals is to
become one of the best DJ’s in NYC.
