I was born in Cleveland Ohio and raised in Flint & Detroit Michigan. My love of music began at age five listening to my parents and uncles Classic soul and pop music collections. I played trumpet and drums in various bands including the Electrified Funk Band in 6th grade and sang in various singing groups throughout my high school and adult years. After hearing Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five’s “The Message” I along with a couple of friends started learning the art of dj’ing which I enjoy doing to this day.
My musical influences span many genres such as hip hop, R&B, house, classic rock, jazz, pop, southern soul and blues. I started Swingbeat DJ Services LLC in 1994, and we’re still laying the soundtracks for parties and local events till this day. I am currently a proud DJ and Radio Personality with Flava1 Radio, hosting the shows Candlelight And You, Soulful Sundays, Club Mixdown & All That Jazz.
